What is Transition in BJJ?
Quick Definition
Movement from one position to another.
Full Explanation
Transitions are movements between positions. High-level BJJ is about smooth transitions - mount to back, guard to sweep to pass, etc. Attacks often come during transitions when your opponent is moving and vulnerable. The "scramble" is a chaotic transition where both people are moving. Getting better at transitions means getting better at BJJ - positions are connected, not isolated.
Examples in Context
"His transitions between positions are seamless"
"I got caught during a transition"
