What is Overhook Series in BJJ?
Quick Definition
A collection of attacks and transitions built from having an overhook grip.
Full Explanation
The overhook series is a systematic chain of attacks from the overhook (whizzer) position. From closed guard with an overhook, you can attack with triangles, omoplatas, sweeps, and armbars. The overhook controls one of the opponent's arms and creates predictable reactions that feed into your attack chain. Many guard players build entire game plans around the overhook as their primary controlling grip.
