What is Leg Drag in BJJ?
Quick Definition
A guard pass dragging the opponent's leg across your body to clear the guard.
Full Explanation
The leg drag pass involves gripping the opponent's ankle or pant leg and dragging it across your hip to the opposite side, pinning it there while you advance to side control. This clears their guard by taking their leg completely out of play. The Miyao Brothers popularized the leg drag as a primary passing method. It is effective because once the leg is dragged, the guard player's hip mobility is severely limited.
