What is Knee on Belly in BJJ?
Also known as: KOB, Knee ride
Quick Definition
A dominant top position with one knee on your opponent's stomach.
Full Explanation
Knee on belly (KOB) is a mobile dominant position where you place one knee on your opponent's stomach/solar plexus while the other leg is posted out for balance. It's worth 2 points in IBJJF competition. KOB creates massive pressure while maintaining mobility - you can easily transition to mount, back, or submissions. The pressure is so uncomfortable that opponents often expose themselves trying to escape.
