What is Forearm Muscles in BJJ?
Quick Definition
The muscles of the forearm responsible for wrist movement and gripping.
Full Explanation
The forearm muscles control wrist movement, finger flexion, and grip. In BJJ, these muscles are constantly engaged during training, particularly in gi where sustained gripping is required. Forearm fatigue (commonly called "getting your forearms pumped") occurs when the muscles are overworked and fill with lactic acid. Building forearm endurance through training and supplemental exercises improves grip stamina during training and competition.
Examples in Context
"My forearms were completely pumped after the gi session"
