What is Electric Chair in BJJ?
Quick Definition
A sweep and submission from lockdown half guard that splits the opponent's legs.
Full Explanation
The electric chair is a technique from the 10th Planet system, entered from lockdown in half guard. You elevate the opponent with a sweep motion while controlling one leg, then stretch their groin by splitting their legs apart. It works as both a sweep and a submission. Eddie Bravo popularized the electric chair as part of his lockdown-to-truck system. The groin stretch can force a tap or at minimum complete the sweep.
