What is Double Under Position in BJJ?
Also known as: Double under pass
Quick Definition
A guard passing position with both arms under the opponent's legs.
Full Explanation
Double under is a stacking guard pass position where you get both arms under your opponent's legs, clasp your hands, and stack them onto their shoulders. This compresses their spine and limits all hip movement. From here, you can pass to either side by walking around their legs. The double under pass is one of the most reliable pressure passes but requires good grip and posture to avoid triangle counter-attacks.
