What is Anaconda Choke in BJJ?

Quick Definition

An arm-in head-and-arm choke threaded from the front, squeezing like an anaconda.

Full Explanation

The anaconda choke is a head-and-arm choke where your arm goes over the opponent's neck and under their armpit, clasping your hands to squeeze. Unlike the D'Arce which threads from under the arm, the anaconda goes from over the neck. It is commonly applied from front headlock or when the opponent shoots in. A gator roll is often used to finish it by rolling the opponent over to tighten the choke.
